Ensuring fire safety measures are in place before opening up for business

Our company was asked to carry out a fire risk assessment at a new facility owned by a technology company in London. The organisation that has been established for 6 years and decided to expand to enable it to produce a new range of high end technology instruments.

Our fire risk assessment found that there was no fire alarm, no emergency lighting to BS 5277, no fire exits or fire exit signs, no in date fire extinguishers in place, no staff action notices, no staff fire training etc.

Before starting work in a premises an organisation must ensure that fire safety measures are in place to protect staff and visitors in the building. We have provided advice that will help the company on a temporary basis and provide long term solutions to ensure fire safety at all times.
