How many fire marshals do we need? A recent question…

We were asked this question at a recent fire marshal course London. In fact this is one of the most common question we are asked at our fire marshal courses London.

City Fire Training recommend the following advice for responsible persons selecting fire marshals or providing fire marshal training London – If you operate a sweep system then you need to ensure all areas are clear in about 60 seconds. Get one person to check an entire floor and time them – if it takes three minutes then you need three fire marshals or fire wardens for that floor and an appropriate number of deputies. If you account for persons using a roll call ensure the  lists you call from are accurate. Get one person to rad out all of the names, calculate how long it takes to evacuate all persons from the building. Make sure you have enough roll call officers to call out the names before the fire brigade arrive.
